All About Lebanese Cuisine VA

By Kimberly Barnes

It can be said that Lebanese food is a mixture of all rich ingredients. Different food groups compliment the Lebanese cuisine VA. No matter what type of food you love, if you are a vegetarian or a meat lover, you have a choice when it comes to Lebanese food.

It is not a new type of cuisine at all, in fact the traditional dishes are more than thousand years old. Most of the recipes are from ancient times but they have been improvised over the years so that they can be made simple to understand as compared to the olden time recipes that required a few days time to prepare them.

Most of the savory dishes are grilled, pan fried or baked. You would hardly find any curry items in their cuisine. The use of butter, ghee or cream is very rare instead, they prefer using olive oil in most of their dishes which make this type of food a healthy choice. This type of food is not spicy at all because the use of spices is to create fragrance, aroma and freshness instead of spiciness.

The freshness of ingredients is maintained and for that reason mostly, vegetables are eaten raw or pickled or they are just steam cooked. There is no concept of drink only in Lebanon, because the drinks should compliment food. Tea and coffee are served all day long along with their food. Apart from that there are some options for alcoholic drinks but those are also traditional recipes.

Their segment sizes are liberal and filling, even an individual serving is really colossal at times. An individual serving contains rice or bread with a part of flame broiled or heated meat and some plate of mixed greens. The sweets are basic too. For the most part new organic products are served after the feast yet a standout among the most mainstream treats is baklava which is presented with their conventional tea or espresso.

Their starters are served both hot and cold, there are plenty of different types of dips that are served with the food, salads also range from hot serving to cold serving. Slow cooked stews are preferred over curried food items and the recipes of stews are still those traditional ones.

If you go back in time, the only way you could have tasted authentic Lebanon food was when you traveled there. But, nowadays this sort of cuisine is commonly available everywhere and the taste is still the same very authentic and traditional. You should try it once in your lifetime and will not get disappointed with what is put forward in front of you.

For spicy food lovers, this type of food is not up to their spice standard because the use of red or green chilies is a bit limited. There are hardly any recipes that make the use of red chili powder or flakes, although whole chilies are sometimes used to add the aroma to some of the dishes. Still, you cannot say that it tastes bland because the use of other spices make it smell aromatic and the taste is so delicious that you cannot resist but to have it.
