Although Australian dishes does not normally appeal most of the crowd, those who were able to have a taste on that little heaven in every bite are surely going for the same foods any chance they could get. Seriously, missing these kinds of dishes is basically like missing a chance of a lifetime to have a happy tummy. Aside from the fact that its generally healthy, traditional australian food recipes are using the best herbs there is.

Every herbs they are using does have the capability to draw out the best flavors you have not tasted in any kind of dishes there is. Yes, it is unique and its savory that its really hard to forget the way it tasted so you would see yourself coming back for more of which and it does not get any better.

Another great thing about the spices they usually use is that it has several health benefits. So adding them in every day dishes is not harmful at all rather it will help in improving certain conditions. Well, that is surely worth knowing so that you can have your own recipe comprised with their amazing herbs and spices.

They have lemon myrtle which is generally some kind of lemon but the flavor it has is somehow like a lemon lime. This is highly versatile herb and may be used as ground or in dried form or even have it fresh. They are usually added on sauce, marinades, sorbets and even in some recipe of their cakes.

Mountain pepper is another type of herbs they have which are usually seen growing in Victoria, Tasmania. Its about five meters long and its good flavor to add if you wish to make some hot dishes. The reason why it is really spicy is because of the compound found in it which is called polygodial.

Native mints are not that popular way back but when they knew how great this is for their dish, they basically have used it more often since then. Because its and ornamental plant, they normally has not pay attention to it. They thought it was just something with a mauve colored flower in it.

Bush tomato are said to be a distant relative of the common potatoes. They are perennial plants and before they make use of the fruits, they have it dried on its bush. When they think its on its driest form then that is when they tend to pick them. They can be added on almost any dish there is.

Then there is the bush cherries which are usually considered as fruit and it has this pink color that is totally refreshing and its texture is really versatile. They can be eaten fresh or if you want, you may be able to serve them along with the fruit salad. They make the dessert quite extra special than it has always been which is why they have been used that often.
