One of the best dishes that can be served at home or in restaurants are fresh seafood. The flavor from these kinds of dishes are bursting and mouthwatering. There is no wonder more and more people are craving for these sort of foods every chance they get because aside from the fact that it taste really amazing, it as well is one of the healthiest food there is. Most of these ingredients are not fatty which is why these are highly recommended for those who are having strict diet. One popular recipe one can try on when they start craving for seafood is the New England Clambake.

Yes, it is nice to order dishes that are already done on restaurants but it feels different when you get to cook them especially if you are to serve it with your family as well. To share the secret recipe for those who are interested in making their own clambake, continue reading on below.

Right before the excitement begins, try to think first of the complementary ingredients you want to add on your recipe. There are few people who tries to make their own rendition extra special by adding octopus or fish along with the serving. Some also tries to serve it with drinks that would make the flavor of the food pop out more just like white wines.

Anyway, some other ingredients that are needed in the making would include red potatoes which have been scrubbed, clams that are in shell and scrubbed as well. Also, purchase some mussels, shrimp, and chicken broth. Additional flavoring would include butter and a French bread.

Then after making sure that all ingredients are ready and clean. Start the action by placing the potatoes first in a large pot. After that, put on top the clams as well as the mussels. Have the shrimp and chicken broth be on top of everything. Do not use too much broth, just base it on the amount of food you are trying to make.

Now go and chop the entire butter into half before slicing them in cubes. Place it on top of everything before putting the lid on and sealing it with the aluminum foil. Place them in heat and bring them to their boiling point. Once that happens, prepare simmering the food down by forty five minutes.

After the forty five minutes of simmering, remove the entire stuff out of the heat. Uncover the pot and remove the foils as well. Then, you can remove the entire seafood out of the pot and place it in a serving plate based on your preferred presentation.

For additional flavors, go ahead and make a dip from the left butter. Melt them and divide it into four serving so that everyone gets their dip. Do not forget to serve the bread as well because it will make the dip even relevant.

This is the basic and traditional way of making clambake. Now, if you have something in mind that will make it extra flavorful then do not be afraid to experiment and make your own specialty out of it. Enjoy the process and making it.
