For some background, the diet was created as a way of restricting mankind's nutrition. Packaging is also monitored carefully to ensure it is appropriate for handling the products. A special seal is applied on each label following a control system that distinguishes items from non-kosher foods. This is rare among conventional food firms, and it allows for quick recall in case of contamination.

Adapting a kosher diet isn't really difficult if one knows what to look for. Most established grocery outlets will have the options in stock. Alternatively, you could also look for a Jewish market if you reside in or near a big city.
